Day Wise Itinerary

Your Meghalaya adventure begins as you arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Meet your driver and enjoy a scenic drive to Shillong, passing lush green landscapes and pine-covered hills. Once you arrive in Shillong, check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore the local markets and cafés. Overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Cherrapunji. En route, stop at the stunning Elephant Falls and the Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint for panoramic valley views. Upon reaching Cherrapunji, begin your local sightseeing tour covering major attractions like Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, and Eco Park. Check in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Cherrapunji.

Today is reserved for an unforgettable adventure. After an early breakfast, start your guided trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in the village of Nongriat. This trek includes descending over 3,000 steps through dense forests, crossing hanging bridges and natural pools. Take time to relax and soak in the beauty of this living marvel before trekking back. Return to your hotel in Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.

Check out after breakfast and drive towards Shillong. En route, stop at Dawki to admire the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River — boating here is optional and highly recommended. Visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. From nearby Riwai village, take a short trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge. Continue your journey to Shillong. Check into your hotel and overnight stay in Shillong.

Post breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. After hotel check-in and some rest, head out in the evening for a peaceful sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Enjoy scenic views and a serene atmosphere as you unwind after days of exploration. Return to your hotel in Guwahati for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and proceed to visit the sacred Kamakhya Devi Temple, perched atop Nilachal Hill — one of the most important Shakti Peethas in India. After seeking blessings, you’ll be dropped at the airport or railway station for your departure, concluding your memorable trip through Meghalaya.
