On arrival at Jaisalmer railway station, you will be welcomed by our agent’s representative, and transferred to your hotel. Check in and relax for a while, since you have the day at leisure. You can opt to check out the nearby attractions or the local markets towards the evening. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2
Jaisalmer: City tour
After a delicious breakfast, get ready to enjoy a tour of all popular Jaisalmer attractions. First of all, pay a visit to Jaisalmer Fort, constructed out of golden limestone, thus giving it the name of Sonar Qilla or the Golden Fort.
Next, visit ancient buildings from the 12th to 15th century, including Patwon-ki-Haveli, Nathmal-ki-Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli, all of which are still inhabited. The intricate carvings and lattice work on these buildings have to be seen to be believed.
Towards the evening, enjoy camel safari on Sam Sand Dunes, and immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Rajasthan. Enjoy live music from local artists, folk dances, and other cultural programs. If you want to spend the night in the rustic looking mud-huts, you can do that or return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
