31 Oct 2022 Indulge in a delectable breakfast at your hotel. Today, you’ll travel to Galle. A great city to enjoy the sand and sun is Galle. Before the Portuguese took control of Galle in the 16th century, mariners from China and the Arabian Peninsula frequently visited the harbour there. Galle was taken over by the Dutch in 1640, and the British received it in 1796. In honour of his second trip to Sri Lanka, the Chinese admiral Zheng He, who led seven major expeditions in the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea between 1405 and 1433, constructed a tablet in Galle in 1409, according to history. Inscriptions on the trilingual tablet found in 1911 are written in Chinese, Tamil, and

Arabic, indicating that the Chinese were conversant in

a diverse trading community that existed at that time. City tour: Throughout

Protestant Church. The fort is situated on a narrow peninsula that

Arrival At your hotel, enjoy a great breakfast. You’ll travel to Colombo today. The largest commercial capital of Sri Lanka is Colombo. On the west coast, it is a bustling city with a mix of colonial and modern architecture.
Colombo’s architecture is extraordinarily varied, representing many different styles over many centuries. Along with buildings constructed in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Indian, and Contemporary architectural styles, there are numerous colonial constructions influenced by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. This is more obvious than anywhere else in the city’s Fort district. Colombo is home to a large number of malls and department stores that sell name-brand clothing at steep discounts. As a result, it has developed into a significant tourist shopping destination. The Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, the National Museum, the Twin World Trade Center towers, the Old Parliament Building, the Fort District, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and significant Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, and Christian places of worship can all be seen during a city tour of Colombo. Visit Odel, House of Fashion, Beverly Street, Majestic City, Noritake, etc. for shopping. Stay the night at your hotel in Colombo.

You can stay at the hotel after breakfast and relax there until it’s time to head to the airport to catch your connecting flight, which is usually at noon.
